P or LT Rated Tires?

I am planning on changing my Wrangler SRA's 275-65-18 for Nitto Terra Grapplers. The same size, I tow a travel trailer that is about 4,000lbs and I will soon be upgrading to a 5th wheel. I use tmy 2010 F150 as a daily driver and I was wondering what should I get the P rated or the LT rated tire. Ford had indicated that my warranty may be voided if I change from the stock P rated tires to the LT rated tires.

Thanks for your help in advance.

for towing get the LT tires. Also by getting tires of the same size ford cannot void your warranty.

in reality the P rated tire will handle whatever the truck can within the trucks "limits". But the stronger sidewall of a LT rated tire is much prefered for towing. They cannot void warranty because of a tire that is complete BS. In fact most F150s are available with a load range C LT tire as an option.

Lt will handle the towing better. May ride slightly rougher as your daily driver.

If you are upgrading to a 5th wheel, then definitly LT. I would suggest load range E for a 5th wheel. (E means the sidewall is a 10 ply. C is 6, D is 8, you get the idea.)

I agree that with towing, especially a 5th wheel, you want LT tires.
