22's what tire size and what leveling kit

Hi guys, been reading on here for a while, but this is my first post. Im trying to decide if these specific rims will fit my truck. I have a 2005 f150 fx4 supercrew. The rims are a Helo HE835. Heres the link http://www.customwheelsdirect.com/ht...ia=10&id=68607

If they do, what size leveling kit and what size tire would i need for it to look good. I was thinking a 305/50/22 or a 325/50/22.

Thanks in advance guys.

Nic

If you want an offroad look, I'd go with a 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit and at least 33x12.50 all terrian tire. If you want a street look, install a set of lowering shackles and some 305/45-22's.

Here are the specs on those rims. 22x9.5, Bolt Pattern (PCD) 6x139.7 (6x5.5), Offset (ET) 18mm. I hope this is what you were referring to. O, and Im looking for an off road look.

If those do not work, what about these.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

you can run Nitto Terra Grapplers in 325/50/22 which is 34.40" tall x 12.80" wide
or Nitto Terra Grappler in 285/55/22 which is 34.34" tall x 11.22" wide
both will work on a FX4 with a 2.5" leveling kit. look for a member's photo gallery, agadawg1717 he has 285/55/22's
here is a link to a thread that shows Agadawg1717 wheel set up

Blackout, your truck is amazing. Thats the look im going for. When exactly do you rub? Full lock? Would a 3" leveling kit help any with the rubbing?

Thanks

the only rubbing occurs on the fender flare at the 3 o'clock position. it only rubs when i drive in reverse and turn the steering wheel all the way. basically when im backing into my drive way. so it's not a big deal. I would stay away from the 3" leveling kit, i know some guys have them without any problems but they are known to put a lot of stress on the front end components. you will be fine with a 2.5" leveling kit

my old set of 22's were +30mm offset and i had 325/50/22 (35's) on them. they did rub on the control arm when turning the wheel full lock, basically doing a U-turn. the +35mm will rub a little bit more. if you go with 285/55/22 they are just as tall as the 325's but they are skinnier by more than 1" so they will work better with the +35 offset.

However, there is a member on here that has 22's with a +30mm offset with 325/50/22 and said they dont rub at all. here is a link to his thread.

I hate to bring this up again, but I want to install some Black Mamba M1s on my truck. The rim specs are 22x9.5, Offset: +35mm , Backspacing: 6.65". If i installed a 2.5in leveling kit as well, could I fit 325/50/22's on my truck with minimal rubbing? Heres a link to the rims. Tell me what ya think. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand
I have a 2005 f150 fx4 supercrew, white. Thanks a bunch.

IMO that offset is too high to run with that tire, The rim/tire will sit inside the wheel well too deep and you will rub on the control arm when turning at full lock. i had +30 offset and they rubbed the control arm when doing a U-turn.

Is it possible to buy some wheel spacers to balance out the offset? I hardly ever go offroad.

something that caught my attention was the bolt pattern (6x139.7) all the '04-'08 f-150's are 6x135mm. I don't know if that's been addressed or not but I didn't see anything else about it up there^^

I've seen some wheels, like Blackout's monsters that are "6x135/6x139.7" so maybe someone can school me here.
