Firestone M/T or Goodyear DuraTrac
I have been eyeballing these tires for a while at Tirerack. 325/65/18 for my 2.5" leveled FX4 w/ 3.73 gears.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...e1=yes&place=8
Question is are they gonna fit and will I have major rubbing issues on the control arms at lock with stock rims. Then again I can always get them in 285/65/18 for a tad less.
My other options seem to be the Goodyear Duratrac's @ 295/65/18
Thoughts? Because I am seeing a lot of positive reviews for the DuraTracs but none of extended mileage while a lot of ppl are getting over 40k easily on the Firestone M/T.

Well I haven't heard anything about the duratracs mainly because they are so new...but I had the old mtr's on my last truck and they were an awesome tire. Wore extremely well very even and lasted a long time. But they say these new ones with kevlar will last even longer. I know that didnt really help.

Does it ever rain or snow, or even get icy where you live? If so, I can tell you that the Firestones are going to be scary in such conditions. The Firestone tires are great off road and in loose terrrain conditions, but will give up a great deal of performance to the Goodyear (or other all terrain tires) on the road.
There aren't many reports about longevity on the Duratrac tires because they were just released a few months ago. I imagine they will wear similarly to the Firestones, if not better.

The Goodyear DuraTracs are also pinned for studs. If you can run studs in your state, you're ready to rock on that front with the Goodyears.
