22" Rockstars?????

As old and played out as the Rockstars are how come i'm yet to see any 04-08 with 22" "Chrome" Rockstars?? I've seen a Silver 02 lifted wit them locally. I don't really care for them in anything smaller then a 20". I've seen quite a few chevy 2500's, f-250's and dodge 2500's with them and they looked pretty sweet, so was wondering why isn't anyone running them on our trucks?

I think maybe because of the backspacing. I looked into getting some and still want some but im not for sure if the backspacing will work.

strangley enough I've seen countless rigs running 22"+ rockstars but never an f150, mabye it is a fitment issue

annoyingly kmc doesnt have any specs for there wheels on there website, or mabye I just cant find it.

you should look into it I think it would look sick

I just found something. They only make the 22x9.5 for our trucks and I think it's with a +38 offset, they make a +12 for the chevy. The 22x12 is only in 8 lug with a -44 offset. Could always run it with a spacer. If they made a 24x10 to fit I would do it and just add a spacer. Would give that RC Truck look.

they don't make them, buy you can buy 22x12 or 24x12 blanks (rims have no bolt pattern in them) and have them drilled for 6x135

If i buy the 24x12 blank and have it drilled, would the offset/backspacing still be undoable.

With the -44 offset the wheel will stick out probably 4 inches... I have a -25 and they stick out 2.5". Maybe I'm wrong and the rockstarts are different since they are a face wheel. If they would only stick out about 3" I would be really interested in getting them.

So you're saying that with a -44 a 12" wide wheel would stick in to far and rub on the knuckle? I thought that the - offset would push the wheel out and if it rubbed would be on the front valance or rear front render.

offset and backspacing are different. backspacing is the issue here, nothing to do with offset.

-44 offset is a good look, it push the spokes further back of the rim, giving it more depth.

offset is how far the wheel face sits from the center of the rim, positive offset push the face closer to the edge of the rim, not much wheel lip. negative offset, push the wheel back backwards toward the car, "deep dish" or a big lip.

Backspace is the distance from a wheel's mounting surface to the back edge of the wheel in inches.

read this link it will explain. regardless of your offset 8 inches is never gonna fit with your procomp
