Because Nitto recommends an 8 inch wide wheel for that size and yours are 7.5 inches wide. It's a liability thing. They don't want you to sue them if you had some sort of freak accident.

I deal with the guys in Troy, 14 mile rd. just east of the mall there. Not sure about this though, but I would try them and ask.

295's will look really good too, 285's do also. Those sizes seem bigger on 04 and newer trucks. This was good to know as I was planning on this one day.

hey dude, keep your boat... you might regret that, unless you were planning on selling it anyways... Do the 295s... if you put a 295 next to a 305, you would JUST BARELY be able to tell a difference. I mean its 10 millimeters of difference. That's one centimeter. 1/2 of a centimeter smaller on both sides of the tire... it won't make 1 bit of difference in appearance IMHO

I too would just trade the 305s in for 295s.

I will not deal with Discount Tires. I bought a new set of tires online for my wife car. It is an 07 Mazda CX-7 that I was changing the tires for the first time on. They said that they could not mount the tires because I did not buy the tires from them. It was company policy. Screw company policy, I am trying to give them business and they turned me down. This is not the time to be turning down business. I will not spend a dime there again.

I agree. That was stupid. Businesses are closing up daily and they turn a customer away? That's just dumb.

2957017 NITTOS look good on the f150 with a lvling kit. A guy here at work has a set and they fit fine. They are in an 8ply so they do ride a little harder.

If you have access to air, I would buy the tires you want and mount them yourself with some balancing beads. google magnumplus balancing, I have used these and they work great. All you need is a couple of tire irons and a good strong back, soap and water to lubricate. If you have any questions, go to a truck tire repair place and watch them do one (remember pickup tires will be easier). I've done a lot of them in my time and its not that hard, but you had to go get them balanced. These new balancing beads take care of that.
