Lightbulb New to the 4x4 world

Hello everyone, i'm new to the 4x4 world and have a couple questions.i've been around 4x4 but never owned one..i just bought an 08' f-150 fx4 super crew. My question is. What is the biggest wheels and tires i can put on it if i only add a leveling kit with out having all the rubbing? I don't want to go high with the truck all i want to do is level the front and put wheels and tires on it.also should i stay with 18'' wheels.any suggestion would be great.if anyone has pictures of a truck done like i'm trying to explain send them to me so i can check it jblanchard29@yahoo.com.

33'S w/ most aftermarket wheel and 35's w/ factory wheel. Some guys squeeze 35's on aftermarket wheels but the backspacing has to be the same as oem!
I say go 20" they looks perfect on leveled f150's

You will probably have rubbing if you go 35's. They will fit though, and you can do minor trimming to ditch the rubbing. If you dont want to do that, go with 33's. Most of the FX4 trucks come stock with I think a 32" tall tire, so it wont be much taller, but it should be wider.

I took the 20's off my truck and went with 18's. 33's with 18's is a good look on a leveled truck. Check out my gallery. I went with a 2.5" level kit and 33 Nitto TG's with 18" XD Monsters.

That's the general rule. I'd suggest and 18x9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing and some 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tires.

I am running 18x9 XD Monsters with a +18 offset. Tires are 275/70/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers

Hi, I just went thru the exact same situation, and the guys here helped me so much!!!!!! They definately know what they're talkin about! I went with 18" wheels and Procomp Xtreme AT's (33's). We use our truck all the time so didnt want mudders, but these are super agressive looking ATs, also added a 2 1/2" levelin kit to avoid any type of rubbing!

A 285x65x18 (33") or 305x65x18 (34") look's great on a leveled 4x4. These will fit on stock 18" Ford wheels.

Stay with the factory wheels with your leveling kit. You can go up to 33" w/out complications. Wait a year or so, and save your money. Drive around on the leveling kit with some bigger, more aggressive tires, then decide on if you need a suspension lift and even bigger tires. If you go to a 6" or higher lift, then spec out wheels & tires for the lift.
