35's or 37's

I have a 6in lift and have 35x12.50x17 on right now and can't decide on getting 37x12.5x17. Would it wear stuff out faster? Kill my mileage? Any input would be helpful. Im in high school and have a tight budget since i pay for everything, and i also drive 90 miles everyday in my truck.

Depending on the wheels you are using, you will probably need more lift to clear 37's. Also, anytime you increase tire size, you affect your gas milage and increase wear and tear on your truck.

well im running the moto metal 951's right now but im not sure about the other specs on them. I realize it will hit on the mpg's, but maybe 1 to 2 mpg? or what? I was talkin to one guy who was runnin 37x12.50 and he got them to fit.

ya buddy im freshman in college now but i got my 37x12.50R17 my senior year of high school because i wanted a little more height and a different look than the normal 6 inch and 35s.. But the only catch to that is the bfg all terrains where the only 37x12.50R17 that i saw that measures around 36.4-5" which makes it possible to fit. A normal 37x12.50R17 would have a tuff time fitting and probably a lot of rubbing.

IMO heres how i look at it

Budget= 35s

I have 35s on my truck now and i get about 13.5 mpg and when i had 37s i was getting around 11.5( did not have gears) and this is all city driving so sense your in high school just stick with 35s and especially sense your driving 90miles a day. Plus if you go with 37s your going to have to re gear and if you dont then thats even more wear and tear on the truck. also money to have them installed so like i already said just stick with the 35s for now
