40s or 38s on 24s
Still new on the realm, but anyways, going to be putting on a 14'' lift. What should i go with? 40 or 38s on 24s!!!!!
Does anyone have pics of big lifts on 24s?

Id try looking what companies make tires in those sizes to fit that size rim. Last time i looked toyo MT's in a 38 did not even come in a 22" rim size... Kumho makes a 37 that fits 22's. Ive never looked for anything to fit a 24" rim, but you might have some tough luck. Whats wrong with 22's? there is probably a better shot at those sizes id think....
Nothing wrong with a 22, i just want the unique look, you know. Somthing that looks sweet that not very many people have.

only off road tires I know that fit 24s are:
kumho KL71 38X14R24S and 37X14R24
and
Toyo M/t 37X13.5R24
Heres a pic of a superduty on 24s and 38inch kumhos

I think it looks sick and think that if you can afford it then you should go for it, but most people on this site frown upon anything bigger then 20s for some reason

when a huge lifted truck has a sidewall that's smaller then what's found on any sports car it loudly and proudly states you have more money then brains
. Although, I agree with you when you say it looks sick
Also, according to toyo's website 5 seconds ago neither their all terrain or mud terrain come in any 24" tire sizes

and yeah 38's would look small on 14" of lift. Here is a saying "do it right or go home"
Look harder man. They make it
And the whole size of the side wall just comes down personal opinion. Aesthetics over functionality.
I have pretty strong opinions on this, so dont take offense.
24s = stupid. Personally, i think anything bigger than 18s = stupid. I would have gotten 17s myself but i couldn't fit anything smaller than 18s due to the brake calipers on my 04.
A 14" lift on a IFS suspension = stupid. 40"+ tires on IFS = stupid. Not practical, not very functional, your truck will be a slow, gas guzzling slug and wont even be that great offroad (stuff will break all the time, no power etc). Anything more than 8" of lift on these half ton trucks just isn't practical to me.
Lastly, Toyo MTs = stupid. They are super expensive, super heavy, made of heavy compound and dont perform too well in mud, yet everybody has them. Why? Because they last forever on the pavement. Says a lot about how you use your lifted, tough looking truck.
Right now, the truck you describe building sounds to me like the ultimate "BRO-mobile"
