35's on 97-03 mostly stock 4x4

Hey guys, I know it can be done and that it has been done. But I want to see pics or hear from someone that has actually put 315/70R17's on a torsion bar cranked 97-03 4x4. I might consider doing this because you can get factory takeoffs from an H2 so cheap.

found a set of Wrangler Extreme AT's on eBay for $600. And if you have a local Hummer dealer call them up, if they have some they will sell them, or at least my local dealer does.

well, with stock rims, it can be done...it is tight I believe but I know it has been done. I don't know if I will do or not, but just trying to get feedback from somebody that has actually done it.

I've seen it done... I can't remember where though. I'll try to dig it up.

it can be done but that doesnt always mean it should be.

i have seen it multiple times in person and it looks kinda crammed.

id opt for a 3" body lift and 35" tires it will flow better for only about $200 more

You can mount 35x12.50's on a stock 97-03 4x4 by using the oem wheels but they will rub the frame slightly at full steering lock.

I ran 35x12.5x17 BFG AT's on my stock rims with just the T-Bars Cranked, I only had them on for a month before it drove me mad with the tires rubbing the frame and my front lower valiance, even after extensive trimming. I ended up putting the body lift on and then went back to 35's.

Just my experience.

Body lifts are cheap and pretty easy on our body style, I pretty much did mine by myself over a weekend. Because our frame doesn't hang so low, they don't look horrible like they do on chevy's

I know, I definitely don't have anything against body lifts and have wanted to do one for a while, but........I probly won't do it still. Don't really want to have to buy new wheels, etc. and hauling my fourwheeler would be a pain in the tail to load.

I understand the loading thing, my truck basically lived to haul toys around, I had a set of 8' folding ramps and they worked great for the quad. I have the added bonus of the step-side, where my raptor only had about 1" on either side of quad for clearance!

you dont have to get new wheels with a body lift and your quad shouldn't be to hard to loud. i load my dirtbike in the back of my truck with a 6" lift and a 1 1/2" AAL in the rear. and you just ride a quad up it wont be as bad as you think
