Before putting on my truck

Well my Cast Black Pro comp 7005 wheels came in today. I was wondering if there is anything that i should do to them before putting them on my truck? As in coating them with something etc etc. Or should i just throw them on and enjoy?

Thanks guys.

If they are already finished why would you need to? If their regular flat black looking them I'm not sure.

You know one thing I was thinking about on these cast black finishes is that they should be easy to touch up if they do get scratched or chipped some how with some flat black spraypaint.

Flat black is pretty easy to match.

I would have put them on first and asked questions later. Get off the computer, get those bad boys on, and put up some pictures!

If you really wanted to you could put a wax on them to help keep them protected. Other then that quit wasting daylight reading my pointless post and go get those wheels on we want to see pics....

I'm not sure about waxing flat black paint. I would think it would shine it up quite a bit. Not sure though. If you do that try it in the inside of the wheel first.

It might shine them up a little bit But I would not think it could make that big of a difference. He could use a sealant instead and that would help protect them without adding shine. I guess if he does not want any shine, I would go with the sealant. And either way like you suggested I would do a test spot first.

....You guys crack me up. I'm not getting the wheels and tires put on until Thursday or Friday. I still need to have them mounted and balanced, otherwise i would of put them on first and asked later.

These wheels definetly do look nice. All though it looks like they will scratch and scuff easily, almost makes me wish i had got a machined black, something with a clearcoat, etc etc. But only time will tell i suppose, they do look awesome though.
