Wheels on this truck

Does anyone have any suggestions on what sort of wheel would look good on my truck? I was originally thinking the moto metal matte black 957's which i love. But from what i've learned from you guys already, and seeing as how that wheel only comes in a 4.5" backspace, not sure i should go with that one. I'd also like to squeeze a 33" possibly 34" tire on as well with a leveling kit. I know i cant go 35" without a lift so i'm not considering that size. Any suggestions are welcomed, thanks.

I like ProComp Xtreme Alloy rims. They have tons of options for size and backspacing ---> http://www.procomptires.com/alloywheels.html

Nice, is pro comp a good wheel as compared to moto metals?
They definetly have a nice selection from that website you showed me though. I'm still trying to figure out if should get an all black wheel, or maybe some black and chrome mixed. Definetly a hard choice to make, but fun as well.

Awesome wheels

I think i'm gonna try to choose between some of the pro comps, xd series, or ballistics. Definetly a black wheel, maybe with some chrome accent. I think i'm pretty much cancelling out moto metal because i only really like the 957, but the backspacing turns me off of them.

The more i look, the more the XD monsters seem to stand out to me. Those, and the pro comp 7005 as shown above is what i have narrowed it down to this afternoon. Both very nice wheels. But i'm starting to heavily lean towards the monsters. I'm ordering which ever i pick from tomorrow morning.

How is the actual quality of the XD wheels? Would they be ok during winter, are they easy to clean...etc etc?

Monsters look good but I think pro comp 7005 or american racing thugs look more aggressive and have a durable cast black finish (pro comp) or teflon finish (american racing)

Alright, well one last question (hopefully) about the tire size for these choice wheels.

XD monster 18x9 +18 offset 5.71 backspacing
Pro comp 18x9 7005 0 offset 5" backspacing
ATX Thug 18x9 00mm offset 4.96" backspacing

Could i fit some 305/65/18's (34x12.50R18) on either of these three wheels with a 2.5" AS leveling kit?

Your best bet would be the monsters with 5.7 inches of bs.

Well.....

I can't argue with Wandell about fitment, but IMPO the Pro Comp 7005's and the ATX Thugs look WAAAAY better thanh the monsters. Why buy aftermarket wheels that need hub caps ? ..... and that glossy finish.... ewww ... But hey, that's just me. I know they are very popular.

Fish

PS, I absolutely LOVE the finish on my Pro Comp's (same as on the 7005's)

The monsters are actually matte black, not glossy.
This is the first time i've actually considered buying aftermarket wheels for any vehicle i've had. But whats the big deal with caps on an aftermarket wheel? I dont quite understand that one (just curious).

Another thing that strayed me away from the pro comp and atx thugs is the backspacing. I'd love a 35" tire, but figured if i can fit a 34" i'd be just as happy. With those wheels apparently i'd only be able to run a 33" tire, which just doesnt seem to much bigger than what i have on stock right now. All though i could very well be dead wrong on that as i havent and dont have the oppurtunity to see them in person unless i order them.

Just a personal preference I guess. I actually like the fact that the Mosters centercap covers the lugs. This area tends to take a beating after a few years of normal tire rotations.

And as far as fitting 305/65/18 tires on, i'd pretty much have to go with the Monsters (which i like anyways) or switch down to a 285/65/17 with the pro comps or atx thugs....correct?

Amazing how difficult this is (for me), i cant wait till i decide and be done with it lol.
