BFG AT T/A KO lowest price i could find

Hey guys, well i have started pricing these tires. And it seems the lowest price i can find is as follows (still unsure of the size i want)-

285/70/17 - $1012.48 (mounted, balanced, valve stems, front wheel alignment)
315/70/17 - $1102.52 (mounted, balanced, valve stems, front wheel alignment)

This is at my local Town Fair Tire, and seems to be the lowest price i can find.
Would this be a decent deal?

Personally,
I would go to Pepboys if you re looking for those. I got quoted like 880 out the door for the same, except they were the 305s I believe. Add another 50 or so for alignment unless taht included it, I forget. Either way, Pepboys always has buy 3 tires get a mail in rebate for the 4th. And their rebates are really nice, I even got one for soemthing I ended up returning!

Thanks for the suggestion, i just called my local Pep Boys and unfortunately they do not carry BFG's anymore for some reason.

So far i guess it looks like i'm getting them at Town Fair Tire. I looked at Discount tire online also, and with the price of the tires, plus shipping, its not to far off the price i got quoted at Town Fair Tire. And at least locally bought they can be installed etc etc. If all goes well, and i can make up my mind on which size to get, i'll be doing this next week.....finally.

The shippings a bit cheaper on that site, but i'd still have to get them installed and aligned so it might be worth just going local. I appreciate the suggestion though, Thanks.

Not too bad for the 315's, I bought mine about 2 1/2 yrs ago and they ran me right at a grand. I bought them from a local tire shop that sells BFG, Toyo and other tires. I also bought a set of American Racing Crater wheels to put them on at the same time. I would also check out prices on the Nitto Terra Grapplers and the Toyo AT's.

Are either of those tires better than the BFG's?

Ok well i'm going with the BFG's, and i think i'm just gonna say screw it and go with the 315/70/17 and a 2.5 inch leveling kit. If i do i will just keep my fingers crossed that they fit good, no rubbing, etc etc.

if you're just using the stock wheels you'll be fine. good luck with everything!

You may have minor rubbing at full ****. thats it. Ive had mine for 3 months now and love them. I will downsize when I get new tires this winter tho, 305/70(65)/17 s just so I never have to worry about it.

But the 315s are BEEFY for sure.

go with the 315's for sure. you may have rub at full lock, but you still will have like 90% of your turning radius. that way, when money allows, the tires will still look good w/ a 6'' fabtech.
