Carquest Blues = no dust = BS

I haven't washed my wheels in two weeks now and in that two weeks I drove around 1000 miles city/highway for my job. Here's what they looked like today. I still contend that people who say they don't dust don't drive. I will support they dust less than OEM though. Let's take a look....No Dust?

They look dirtier in person. And it's not that bad but I had seen people swear by these pads that they "don't dust at all" so I tried them. Haha, well they dust.

There is no such thing as dust-less, no matter what the advertising hype states.

Some pads do seem to create less dust than others and all seem to create less then OEM. There are also some 'low dust' pads that seem to clean easier than others.

The only sure way to keep your wheels completely dust free is to stop driving all together.

I put on the "Blues" about 8K miles ago and they give off about half the dust as stock pads, but they do stop better than the stocker's.

In 1000 miles, I have more dust than that from the streets!

A lot of us usually wash our trucks on a weekly basis No pad will ha NO dust at all, but the Carquest Blues have done a good job of keeping the amount of dust very low. I wash my truck once a week and I can't really see much if any dust on the wheels. It all depends on how much you drive and how hard you get on the binders

If you want no dust, go with EBC Redstuff Ceramic - 3000 Series... if you want no dust.

For example... there are ceramics on our Jeep Compass, and they are dust free pretty much.

My F150's OEM pads are dust makers...

Yeah as everyone said, pads will dust no matter what. Some less than others, but other than dust shields theres no escaping it. That writing in the dust is pretty funny though

Dust means that the brakes are doing their job well! Live with it, or do the Fred Flintstone, & use your foot!........

Haha...I'm just giving people a hard time from other Carquest Blue threads. I do wish they dusted a little less with the driving I do they're dusty by the middle of the week easy.

Has anyone tried the Hawk pads? I'd like something a little more aggressive but I'm thinking they will be ridiculously dusty. The EBC mentioned I do not see made for the F-150.

I dont think there is a zero dust pad you can buy. 1k miles is a lot of driving so just a week of regular driving should yield very little dust on the wheels.

That's not bad really for dust. It depends on how you drive I guess too, but I never have dust on mine. I never had alot from stock ones but these were considerably better. My biggest thing was no more squeeling, having less dust was a bonus.

Sorry you aren't happiest with them, but you are one in many that haven't had luck. I'm gonna try their ceramics soon on the front as they are doing well on the rears now. You can see pics in my signature of the rims inside, it blew me away as to how little dust was in them.
