New Wheels

Hey good afternoon all,

I have a 97 f150 and i just ordered new wheels from summit, as follows

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

They are the same exact size as the OEM ones as planned, however the only thing different is the backspacing, which is 4 in in stead of 4.5in. The offset on the new ones is 0mm. I ordered them and did a lot of research and I am posistive they will fit witout any clearance issues such as rubbing the brake caliper.

Can somone please help me? I've seen a lot of great help on here and I'm hoping someone can help me.

Thanks

haha thanks. my question is will having the rim being set back a half inch more do ya'll think that will hit the caliper causing the wheel to not fit? everyone on here seems to have wheels on a 97 or higher f150!!

so will they rub or not rub? thanks!!

and yeah thanks they should look good, especially i have that money green color or the metallic green!

any advice?

Those wheels will actually stick out 1/2 inch more than the oem 16x7's. You should not have any problems at all.

thats great news to hear!! however i was concerened with the offset being set to 0. there was this compare guide and i typed in the new wheel specs with the new offset and it showed it was actually sitting back half an inch? unless i was reading it wrong, i didnt quite understand it. could the 0mm of offset affect the backspacing?

I wish they made those in 17x9 6x135. I like those.

Hey Money....

those are some cool wheels. I was considering something like those myself, at one point. Unfortunately, they don't make them in a 17" or 18" x 9" with a 6 x 135 bolt pattern.....

Peace,
Fish

thanks all. they are pretty cool wheels i was surprised how cheap they were. summit claimed that they aren't suppose to come with a free center cap, so i had to tell them that they said they came with one, and what do you know, i got all four free center caps and new lug nuts are required for that wheel, so i got a whole set of chrome lug nuts for only 20 bucks.

not bad at all. so whould i have to worry about them not rubbing?
