I didn't realize you had a 4x2. They sit about 2 inches lower than 4x4's. That combo will not fit. A 325/65-18 is essentially a 35x13.00 tire. You may be able to fit a narrow 33 inch tire, like a 285/65-18 with those wheels, but it will be tight. I'd go with the ones with 5.7 inches of bs.

I originally wanted out of my factory wheel because I thought a 295/70/17 would look stupid but I actually just saw a set in person. I was on a smoke break and saw a 4WD dodge 2500 HD with big old Toyo M/T's. I have been oogling this trucks tires for a few weeks now. Today I actually got close enough to read the size. 295/70/17. I did not realize they were this big. I got a wild hair today to pull my rims off my truck, blast them, do a custom powder coat job on them myself and get me 295/70/17 TG's. If I can find a place to set my truck up on jackstands for a week I will start this soon.

Same here, about to pull the plug and let the truck rest on some stands in the driveway while my rims are being powder coated.

Wandell, if I remember correctly, you said that with a 20" rim you can typically put in a 305/55/R20 on a 4x2. What would be the largest I can fit with a 18" rim diameter (with and without a 2" level)? Also, if different from your answer to my previous question, what would you recommend size-wise with and without a 2" level? I know you're the wheel expert so what you say I take as the "law".

This is the look I want! This is MacsFX4, he just posted these in another place but this is look I want with my new wheels. Is this not possible on a 4x2 with only a 2.5 AS?

With a leveling kit on a 4x2, you should be able to fit up to a 33x12.50 (305/55-20, 305/65-17, etc) with the right wheel. I'd suggest a wheel no wider than 9 inches with at least 5 inches of backspacing.

Would these work?

Would you still recommend a 295/70/17 on them?

See if you can find out what the backspacing is. I'm not good with offsets.

That wheel is gonna stick out about 2.5 inches farther than your OEM wheels. I think you are gonna have some serious rubbing with those and 295's.

ok, I will look for a 17x8 with 5 inches of BS. will that work better with the 295? I think Mod Bargains has a set I liked that were like that.

Yeah, an 8 inch wide wheel with 5 to 6 inches of bs would be much better.

I have finally made a decison. I know, I am as bad as Fich Chris with my indecisiveness. LOL Sorry Chris..

Anyway, I just agreed to buy a fellow members 18" FX4 wheels. I have a place that is going to blast them clean for me so I can powder coat them satin black. Too good a deal to pass up. Now, what size tire can I put on them? I want the biggest I can go without rubbing. I am still debating betweent he TG's and the Toyo Open Country M/T's. New wheels are 18x7.5 like these, as a matter of fact, this is one of them:

Those are nice. You may be able to squeeze some 305/65-18 (34x12.50) BFG AT KO's on there. You should be able to fit 33x12.50-18's without any rubbing.
