Question Help me ditch the 7 lug ugly as all hell steel wheels

I love everything about my 2004 F150 XLT 4x4 8ft bed except for the 17" steel wheels (7 x 150) that came with the truck. Through my searching I found that rims with the 7 lug pattern are rather hard to come by. I have found that the old light duty F250s have the same bolt pattern but the different size caliper on the F150 will not allow for rims for the F250 to be used.

I am having a hard time finding after market wheels that fit the F150. My truck still needs to be the awesome workhorse it has been; so any wheel that can't handle the payload is out. I also need to be able to fit the truck into my garage at night so lift kits and wheels larger than 17" are out too.

Help me out! Tell me what you have done and post any pictures if you have them.

Centerline makes rims that fit the 7-luggers.

http://www.centerlinewheels.com

Search by bolt pattern, and there are a variety of 7x150mm rims that look nice.

I believe Eagle Alloy and American Racing also make wheels in your pattern.

What do you mean by tolerances?

perhaps max weight capacties per wheel and such? he mentioned that he has the work package, and cannot allow his wheel choice to compromise its integrity.

www.rims-n-tires.com

They have a few wheels that look awesome, imho. Just search for 7x150 or what I did was search '08 / Ford / F-150 7 lug 4wd. I hope these will work for you.

Not to sidetrack too much (sorry op) but can these wheels be run with the F-250LDs and 7700s of the OBS with the 7-lugs? Thanks!

EDIT: The rims will NOT work with the OBS as the offest is different. I'd say call the company if you are wondering about the weight issue and like a wheel and the price is ok - they were easy to talk to and answered my questions promptly over the phone.

wrobo23, that website you gave me was a big help! Just to clarify by tolerances I mean that the brake calipers get in the way of some aftermarket 17" rims. I am worried that if I buy some wheels that they wont fit. That would totally suck because I cant afford to mess this up.

You should have no problems fitting 17's.

Trust me, you'll want to keep your stockers for winter driving unless you don't use your truck as a dd and are **** about keeping it clean. I just can't imagine spending a bunch of money on new wheels and have our lovely midwest winters eat them up. The newer blends of liquid salt really are great on metal

Just mho - plus you can run muds in the warmer months and dedicated snow tires in winter
