Mount Balance Price

Hey guys just a quick question, I've got some new tires and rims coming in that I want to get mounted and balanced.
Tires are 325/60/18. What's a reasonable price to get that done? How does $25 a tire sound? Is that about the going rate?

Thanks

In my area, most shops charge $10 each.

Wink

I use a "Mom and Pop" tire shop near me and I can usually get 4 aluminum wheels and tires dismounted, mounted and balanced for $50.00 cash. I make a point of telling them I dont need a receipt and I always bring the wheels and tires off the vehicle so they dont have to do it. Saves a few bucks this way.. And I'm sure they appreciate having some extra Cash in the cash register too.
I have had them do a bunch of Prowler wheels and tires (Run Flats) for me also and I am happy to pay them $25.00 per tire to dismount, mount and balance. Prowler Run Flats are a real *itch to dismount and mount.
If you have a choice, I wouldnt use a Chain Tire Store as the guys using their machines may not have much experience. Plus, at the smaller tires places they'll let you watch. And if you go to the same place all the time, they will appreciate your Business and do you a really good job. JMO though..

Usually, if you buy something else from the shop, like a leveling kit or something, they'll mount and balance the tires for free. If not, I'd say around $12 a tire.

My local Ford Quick Lane charges $40 total. The local 4WParts charges $84 and I thought THAT was high. $25 a wheel? I'd keep looking. Although I will say this, the Ford guys wouldn't do my new Pro Comp wheels because of fear of tearing them up. Make sure they know what wheels you have, they may not even do them. I had to go the 4WParts $84 route.
