I cant decide between a chrome wheel or a black wheel on my truck. I have a 2006 Supercrew FX4 that is red with black trim fenders. I like the look of black on this truck with red but need some pics. So if there is anyone with black wheels on a red truck please show me some pics. Thank you.

but black is more of a rugged look

If you are going below 20"s I say stick with chrome. 20"s and above, black will look ok but I would still give the edge to chrome. What kind of wheel tire combo are you considering?
Also if you decide to go with black make sure you get something with a flat or matte finish...JMO

i am going with 37" toyo open country m/t tires. now with the wheels i am looking at moto metal 951s in chrome or black. hey nc what wheel is that is nice looking and i think it would look great on my truck because it looks sweet on yours. nice truck too.

 

oh and the wheels are going to be 20" for sure. just enough meat on the side and still tough looking.

 

I don't have a photo for you, but I talked with a guy a couple days ago, about his bright red F150, which was completely blacked out.... and it looked great ! As some have said, chrome looks nice, and classy, but black looks tough. Of course with red, you can go either way.

For my own F150 though, I don't have any choice but black. You will understand when I post pics of it later :-) But it's all good. I like black wheels and bumpers on a "truck" even when their is a workable choice between black and chrome.

for mine ... think im gonna paint my stock wheels till i can get some

They are the 20" Ultra Titan 6 (in black). You can get a pretty good price at www.modbargains.com, or search online and Discount Tire will match whatever price you find. I did that and got the wheels pretty cheap.

well i definitly think that all the trucks looks good but i can see that i am going to pursue the look of chrome with black inserts. i think it would look the best for my truck for sure. now i just have to find some wheels with the combo look. maybe i will find some pics in the gallerys. thanks again
