Another 18 or 20 question

Going for new wheels. Either the XD Monster or American Racing Thugs. Right now I have stock 18 on my 06 FX4. Looking for a bigger tire look. Do I stick with the 18 and go for say a 305/65/18 or can I go to a 20 inch rim? Will going to a bigger rim cause any problems? If I do go 20 what is recomended tire size (largest, without any rubbing issues) BTW Just installed the AS 21/2 level kit!! Love it. Best $95 ever spent.

I know I ask alot of questions and appreciate your help. Seems like the local shops dont have a clue, at least not in Ocala Fl

If you go with 20's you can run a 305/55/20 tire. It comes out to be a 33" You won;t have any issues running either. it just comes down to preference. One thing though? 20's will cost you more for tires and for wheels.

Personally, I'd go with a 18x9 inch wheel and a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire.

I had thought of that but my concern is the width of the tire. Wont it rub at full lock?? The XD Monster comes with 18 offset and 5.? backspace. Does this sound about right or do I look for less offset

I have the setup Wandell mentioned, and I only had a slight rub on the fender flare that was easily fixed with a dremel tool. 18x9, 325/60/18 with 5" of backspacing. The look is just what I was after. Check my gallery for pics...
