jeez why are tires so expensive?

I'm a senior in highschool trying to save money to get 295/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers but damn they are so expensive. My current tires are at the point where I need new ones but can't afford them yet. I've been wanting to off road for a while now, but don't even want to take my truck out with the current tires. I still need to go down to Dependable Offroad and have my T-bars cranked cause I've tried and they are seriously struck. Anyone know of places to get cheap Nitto Terra Grapplers?

I suggest a different tire. Those will wear out very fast. And since you are already complaining about how expensive they are I would suggest a tire that is a little more road friendly and will give you better wear. Something like a A/T.

Also when you tried to crank the torsion bars did you jack the truck up and take the load off the front suspension?

Your correct my bad i misread.

Why not look into some other brands. Try Firestone they make some very nice tires.

The cooler the tire looks...the more profit it will bring.

Look into Copper Tires or BF Goodrich, they always seem to make affordable rubber and they look good too.

Tires are expensive because rubber does not grow on trees. Wait, er...ummm....

take a look at the fuzion xti. I haven't read a bad review on them yet and they're very reasonably priced.

I got 4 of the same exact tires shipped to my door for $680. I thought that was a hell of a deal.
I could see you thinking otherwise, being in HS.
