Which tire?

Which tire should I get for my truck. I think I am going to go with the 2" Autospring, Pro Comp 6005 wheels and Toyo Open Countrys either in

285/65R18
or
325/60R18??

Thanks

If money isnt an issue i'd go w/ a 305/65-18 BFG A/T KO

You can get them for right at $1,000 if u take the price from onlinetire.com and have http://discounttires.com/index.php match that price and ship for free.

I have run both BFG and Toyos on several trucks and I prefer the Toyos this time.

Just spoke with the guy who is doing my lift and he said to go with the less wide tire if you are worried about rubbing. Can anyone confirm that the 13" wide tires will NOT rub with a leveling kit and aftermarket wheels?

Do the aftermarket wheels help or not help when it comes to rubbing?

It all depends on the width and backspacing of the wheel.

So a wheel with a backspacing of 2" or 3" would rub? because the tire is closer to the control arms? as opposed to 5" backspacing it is farther away?

You won't find a wheel with that little backspacing because it would stick way too far out of the wheelwell. You have to have a compromise on bs. Too much and the tire will rub suspension components. Too little and the tire will rub the bumper and wheelwells.

So i would think the 5" backspacing on the Pro Comp wheel should be about perfect.

Right. Plus it seems to be the most commom bs on a 9 inch wide wheel.

Wandell both the Auto spring guy and the guy installing my lift told me the 13" wide Toyo *MIGHT* rub. Do you know for sure it will work or do you know any members on here with a similar setup to that I am trying to go with?

I'd start a thread asking for pics of 325/60-18's with leveling kits.

I have 325/60-18 Goodyear Silent Armors with 18 inch MotoMetals and they do not rub at all. I also have the 2.5 AS leveling kit. Hope this helps
