Exclamation IMPORTANT Tire and Wheel Question

I am a new member and i am in need of some advise on the size of the tires that i can get on my truck. I have a 2004 f150 with the stock 17 wheels. I do not have a leveling kit or anything of that sort installed, but I have the money to do anything that is necessary. In the end I want my truck to look like badass truck, but i want it to be quiet with a smooth ride. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking 33's or 35's

Hey if you don't mind me asking but did you just purchase your 04 f150. Because I just sold my stock 04 f150 about a month ago.

alright it depends a lot on money. im actually in the same boat as you. got an 04 from my dad last year (it was his old truck). ive also saved up alot. im thinkin about getting an 8" Rize on 37 Toyo M/Ts with 4.88s. But if your not looking into a lift that big i would say 2.5" leveling kit with some 33 toyos and then get the subs (maybe Fi Audio. dont know alot about subs). Also look to put an exhaust on it. i went with the Roush Off Road and love it . but its your truck so do whatever you want to

Thanks fellas. I actually got a pioneer CD3 head unit installed last may and thats awesome. I have a question about the lifts; what do you mean about the 8 inch rise and the 4.88? I do not think i can go with 37's cause i have to be able to park in a garage, but i want the biggest tires i can get with making the height of the truck reasonable. Thanks for the advice just want my truck looking sweet like the rest of yals.

Level it with Bilstein 5100 shock's, throw on some 17x8 wheels with some 295x70x17 Toyo MT's and get a programmer & exhaust. You can always lift it later.

haha first off its not rise its rize . and Rize is the maker of suspension lifts http://www.rizeind.com/. 8" is how big the lift is. 4.88s are the gears. 4.88s will give you the most torque and better gas mileage. but if your gonna need to be able to fit into a garage then i doubt you can put a lift on it. measure how far it is from the top of your truck to the top of the garage. If you can fit a lift i doubt it will be an 8". Look into smaller lifts such as the rcd or fabtech in that order.

Hey guys, you will definitely need the gears to keep her alive and gas mileage up. I have a pair of brand new 10" competition audiobahns in an f-150 box I want to sell if anyone is interested. They are bada$$. I had a JBL 600 watt amp pushing them and it was too much for me and my kid but they bump hard. I will send pics if you are interested.

My fault 4X4AUTIGER I am new at this. I definitely don't want to put a 8 inch lift i was thinking more of a leveling kit and putting 33 or 35. If you have seen grubrunners truck that's more what i am looking for. Can i put 33/35 on stock rims? Does the ride get rougher when the tires get bigger? I really do appreciate the help fellas. thanks again!
