WELL
Did I break some rule?
I guess no one has Knowledge of road tires?
Strange, you can talk about off road but not on road.
I thought to be able to evaluate off road to street,
and the different road values, you should have a
real knowledge of road tires, mud and extreme.

I am proven wrong again.

amazing

thanks for the info.
I was looking for MFG to MFG info.
sorry my garbage
too exited

I thought this was a group that had knowledge about all tires.

I must be wrong.

I thought this was an F150 web where all discussions of the ford trucks
could be talked adout.

You should call Sears. They'll probably have a bunch of options for you and they get paid to deal with bad attitudes.

Here's the first hit I found when I Googled your tire size: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...0070921x00003a

why not just go with some BFG All Terrains in that size. They would probably last a long time for your application. Good in the rain too, I had them on my ranger

If you go 2wd, which I'm assuming you have, my suggestion would be Michelin LTX/M/S in a 31x10.5"x15" if you have 2wd and 15" rims. These tires each should be under 2 bills for sure and last forever. BFG's will too and are cheaper still. My dad has/had both these tires and they were flawless on his 94.

I'm running BFG Long Trails on mine and I'm satisfied with them. They are quiet, ride smoothly, decent in the rain, relatively inexpensive, and seem to be wearing very well. I bought them at Sam's Club. They are worlds better than the stock Generals the truck came with.

In my opinion, Michelins are excellent tires, but very overpriced. Same with Goodyear.

Let me give you a bit of advice - the more you bitch about nonresponses, the nastier the responses you get will be.

Bingo, we're not all sitting on top of our computers or actually gotta do work at work.

BTW, the BFG's long trails were the ones I couldn't remember as well and yes, my other dad had them on his 92 and they were great too. The size I mentioned is a good size for pre-97's 2wd from experiences.

After 15 days no response. I got tierd.

Should we let a sears sales person control my safety and life.
Take a vote, sears or get advice here on any tire,
for 051fdrof. Talk about garbage. You must buy tires from sears.
When was your last tire bought from sears, based on advce from their sales person ?
I came here with good intent.
Got garbage, in the concept of "do not bother me, I am too inpotrant""

I asked a simple guestion, did not get an answer.
answer
ALL SHOULD GO TO SEARS, CLOSE THE DISCUSSION AND BE DONE.
STORY

Just wanted advice on road tires.

Some people cannot understand .
This is an open discussion.
I need to drive 110 miles each day.
It will get wet about 150 days a year.
Buy the way Michelin have always been 0.0.
traction.

real simple,50 mph or 100 mph, fast stop in rain.
and best control. tell me the tire you would get.

WHAT TIRE WOULD YOU HAVE.

I will be looking at webs suggested ,
as i get older , (65),, I would like that people in general
had progressd to true reality., but 051 ????

I do not know anything about tires that is why that I an asking experts.
I understand that you people are doing things out of the mainstream,
to suport this forum. It is knowledge that I could not get at any other
place.
So I had to prod you to get you to respond. You responded to most questions in a 3 day time, mine went 15 days and only then, after the prod did you respond.

Tell me a story.
Tell me the mfg. and series.

Try www.tirerack.com

Look up your truck, select the tire size you have, select the type of tire you're interested in and see the list of tires they offer. You can see pricing and you can read reviews from those who've run those tires.

Or go to your local family owned tire shop and talk to them about what they offer.

What does your truck have on it now?
