cycling the spare ...

So I have officially given up on finding a used spare since i changed tire size up to 285 60 18. I will be ordering a brand new spare next week. Does anyone cycle their spare onto the truck? Is it a terrible idea? Seems to me like I should get approx 20% more wear (1/5th) if I cycle that tire into my rotation. Pisses me off that I can't find a used spare and have to put a brand new tire under the truck and not use it. Any input??

Are you gonna buy a new rim to mount it on or have it remounted everytime you rotate?
