what size tires on my 20 Inch Rims????

ok so in a nutshell my truck has been through hell in the last month... to start off i had just got my SKyjacker 2" AAS kit on and 2 days later i slammed my beautiful truck Single Cab FX4 into a 200lb freakin dear... thank god for my Westin Brushguard!!!! still the deer took out the guard, bumpers, hood, fogs & headlights, trans cooler, and radiator..... now i get my harley headlights cheaper then buying them lol..

Anyway i just purchased a set of 20" rims super cheap on ebay... check it out

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20-X-...spagenameZWDVW

i would love to mount my all time favorite tire on them being the BF GOODRICH All-Terrain T/AŽ KO

here are the 3 sizes in my mind...
LT285/55R20/D
LT285/65R20/E-Cheapest!!!!
LT305/55R20/E

I have been using DIscount tire and theses are not cheap when it comes ot 20's!!! i just want to know which would be best for my application without any rubbing, i like the 65's because there taller and beign a 285 ave very likely not to rub as compared to a 305 but you guys and gals are the professionals here not me... is anyone has somthign close to this setup could u help inform me on it thanks!!!

PS and if anyone has delt with DIscount tire and can confirm with me what they use to fasten your TPMS sensor to yoru new wheel... i have hear its a big clamp from a person when another told me they order the bands from ford so i dont even know lol!

Here is what the 305/55/20 looks like. as far as the bands I think I read on here that Discount is using a big worm clamp these days.

Yea, looking at tire prices, the huge jump between 18" and 20" has really turned me off of the 20's. I'm keeping the truck so it's not just a right now cost but down the line too. Nice deal on those wheels though, looking forward to seeing them mounted.

I made a mistake with 305 50 20's and got a much harsher ride. The 305 55 20 is the best choice out of your three in my opinion. The more meat between the rim and the road the better.

I'm ordering the 305/55R20 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Monday....

325/50R20 look good too but I believe they would rub with just leveling kit and back spacing on my wheels.

There is a good chance the 305's will rub the control arm at full lock. My buddy's 305's do. They do look sweet, though.

I'd say the 285/65/20 is a safe bet all around. No rubbing and it's almost 35" tall.

Another tire to look at is the GY Wrangler Silent Armor in 305/60/20, which comes out to 34.4" and gives that fat look many of us like for our tires.

+1 for the 285/65/20. Depending on your offset (backspacing) you may run into rubbing issues with the 305s.

I went with 285/65/20 because I wanted the additional height without the worry of rubbing.

I think I'm gonna do a set of terra grapplers in 275/65r20. They are just over 34" tall and 11" wide. good size, should be no rubbing with 2.5" as.
