Problem free combo??

I think I finally go my Wheel/tire combo for my 04 FX4...
I want to run it by you guys/girls to get you're
opinion if this will be a "no rub- no stick out of fender to far" combination
OK here goes...

NITTO TERRA GRAPPLERS 295/70/17...33.19 diameter. ...12.13 tread width.
PROCOMP 1089 WHEELS ..17X8... 4.5" back space.

Sound good to go?
Or not...

Thanks

They will stick out 1 1/2 inches more than stock and ought to look great with no rubbing.

i heard that u have to stay with a 18 inch wheel or bigger because the FX4 had larger brake calipers?

Some guy told me that once, but I have seen 17" wheels on FX4's before.

I think you can't go any smaller than 17".

No, you can fit 17's. Here's the deal. Ford changed brake caliper design sometime during the 2005 model year. This caused fitment problems with some, but not all, aftermarket 17 inch wheels on some 2005 model and 2006-2008 trucks. I have not read any post in a long time on fitment issues with aftermarket 17's so maybe the problem is resolved. However, always test fit a wheel before you start mounting/balancing tires.
