BFG Mud Terrain KM2 or Toyo Open Country

Im am having trouble deciding what tires to put on my 2007 F-150 FX4. I like both of the tires a lot. I know they last about the same. Also that there pretty good mud tires. I am looking for something thats going to last. Cause i dont do that much off roading . Which tires should i choose?

Toyo MT's. I've heard they are the best quality and quietest mud tire on the road. Not to mention the best looking.

This is very true. Do you know the pricing for a 37X12.50

Quietest is probably true (although BFG's are pretty quiet too) but best quality and best looking I would have to say isn't true. Not to say they aren't a quality tire but BFG's is easily just as good as well as many others. If Toyo's were to get the best looking mud terrain tire award then that would be a sad day. I've parked next to numerous trucks with Toyo's M/T and compared to the new BFG KM 2's IMO they don't hold a candle in the looks department. They make the Toyo's look like an old, boring, barely aggressive design. Neither would be a bad choice, I'm sure you'd be happy with either but I chose the BFG's, which to me is the best looking street/mud terrain tire and couldn't be happier that I went with them over the Toyo's.

I agree. The new M/T's look mean. More so than the Toyos.

Hmm, I love me Toyo's. I paid around $410 per tire for a 37x13.5x17. Looks are are based on preference but the numbers dont lie. Take a look around, Ide say around 50-60% of lifted trucks i see, well, around here are running toyos and its not because their cheap. I can say they are very quiet. I dont do any rock climbing or off roading so i cant say how they handle but if you put alot of highway miles on your truck ide recommend them. Ive got about 15k on mine and they still look like i bought them yesterday. Supposedly good for over 50k and its looking that way on mine. Alignments hold good, no cupping, nothing.

I say go with the KM2. They are hands down wayyyy better looking. On the other hand Toyos are supposed to be super quiet. They probably last the same, so the preference comes to looks or comfort (aka quietness).

Looks are subjective, one says Toyo, one says BFG looks better, call it a toss up. The BFG's are made my Michelin. They are backed by the tire industry's leader in manufacturing. I agree that the Toyo's are also an excellent tire and are made very well but I personally would go with the BFG's. The new tread is awesome and they always get great reviews. Its almost like the Geico commercial (it says something like). "The queen has invited you to dinner and wants to know if you want to eat in the parlor or the dinning hall, either way, your eating fillet minyon."

Not to be the odd man out, but I debated the Toyos for quite some time. I only considered the BFG's ONCE, I was in Sam's Club and asked the price on the Toyos (they don't carry em'.) I asked the price on the Cooper STT's (they don't carry em') I asked well what DO you carry..... And they said the BFG's. They gave me a price of $284 for 35-12.5-18. THAT sounded good as it was the cheapest price quoted as yet ($284 for the BFG's, $291 for the Coops and $325 for the Toyo's) but for $291 I'm going with the Coopers. JMO

KM2's

I have nothing but good things to say about the new BFG's. They are relatively quiet on the road, they almost rides like stock and I have a 6" lift. Had my first test with them in the rain the other day, and they handled fine. All around a perfect combination.

Gotta go with the BFG's in the looks department, especially with the RWL sidewalls!

Toyo's are good tires too, and get good reviews from folks that have them, but I like the BFG's.
