22 inch tire options

ok ... so from the tire experts i need some advice.... I want bigger tires for my 22's than a 305/45/R22.... I know nitto makes a 285/50 but the price isn't that much different than a 325/50 so i'd just go with the leveling kit and put on the 325/50 ... now here's my question.. i can get a perelli in a 325/55/R22 ... think i could fit the 325/55/R22 with a 2.5" leveling kit? or if not just with a 2.5... maybe a 2.5 and an AAL?

Do you have a 4x4 or 4x2? A 325/55-22 is basically a 36x13.00 tire. A 325/50-22 would be a 35x13.00 tire. I think you will need more than a leveling kit to fit either because of the use of a wider aftermarket wheel.

You may be able to fit the 305/50-22's using those wheels. I'm sure you will have some minor rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock however.

I'm not sure. I'd suggest looking at Nitto's, BFG's, Toyo's and Kumho's websites.

Do you think I could fit 285/55/22's on a stock hiehgt 2007 SCREW FX4? Mine doesnt sit too extremely low in front...infact if I level it ever I will only probably do a 1.5"

What offset for a 22" wheel thats 9.5" wide would be perfect? What I mean by perfect is, NO rubbing...having a good enough space between the tire and the control arm...

THey should fit with a leveling kit. My 22x9.5's have 6.7 inches of backspacing and I have no rubbing with 305/45-22's (33x12.50).

well if you have no rubbing you would think I could get by with 4x4 truck running 285/55/22's...especialy the 07's as they sit alot higher than some 04 and 05's.

I had no idea nitto made terra grapplers in this size and it now has me considering 22's again becasue I could have a big rim with an aggressive tire. I think that would give me enough sidewall to look pretty nice.

Now I would love to see pics of this setup....

That works out to be a 35x11.50 tire. I'd add a leveling kit up front.

actualy on nitto's site they say its just a tad over 34". But ya if I got that tire I would throw on a leveling kit. I seen a few pics of other trucks(titans and tundras ) with this tire setup and it looks killer...big rims but still has quite a bit of sidewall and aggressive tread...best of both worlds.

How much MPG loss do you think I would see with a tire/wheel setup like this?
