OEM steel rims for '97 F-150 extended cab 4X4
Hope I can get some good advice. My 97 extended cab 4X4 has extremely rused rims, and w/ only 150k there is a lot of life left in the truck. The problem is, finding 16x7 rims. The tires are a year and a half old and are P235/70R16's. I'm having a terrible time finding new repalcements. A salvage yard doesn't seem like a good idea as most rims up here of that age will be as bad or worse. Any ideas short of a dealer?
Thanks

Rims up to '03 should work, they might be a slightly different style but they will go on the same. The chrome ones seem to last better than the painted ones, I would look for those if you want to stay with steel rims. Just lurk around at classified places like creigslist and they will pop up from time to time.

I can't say whether or not i want either set, but know that I've got one rusted through and expect the others to go at the worst possible time. Closest match is from local "Frey the Wheelman" product from Canada, "Mactek 45405" They faxed a poor quality catalog pic. No luck at local salvage yards. Dealer needs VIN number because there were som many tire options. Thanks for the advice so far.

There were no less than 500k F-150's sold each year from 1997 to 2003, so 3.5 million sets of wheels. There's got to be some good ones out there that peopel are replacing with aftermarket.
Otherwise, Tirerack and Discount Tire have wheels for you or order online.
Here's a set on Ebay.
