Not to mention the vacuum slots on the Powerslots also help in cooling.

Only if you have a microwave transmission & cross-drilled brake lines to match the performance of the rotors.

Cheapest price I found for Power Slots was at performancepeddler.com. Free shipping also. Picked up 4 Power Slot rotors and Hawk LTS Pads for about $100 less that anywhere else that carried them including Summit Racing.

I've heard that Performance Peddler isn't a very good company. Let us know when you get your product and how everything went. I'm still waiting on my left front rotor from Moss Motors.

Performance Peddler was great for me. I had the front rotors 2 days after ordering, the brakes pads took about 7 days, but I was told the rear pads were back ordered from Hawk. The rear rotors tooks about 2.5 weeks, they were backordered from power slot and I was told that upfront and was asked if I wanted to wait. Once the rear rotors were available, they were dropped shipped from Power Slot in CA. Now that everything is installed I'm very satisifed with the results. The true test will be when the truck is weighed down and I have my trailer on.

I ended up canceling my order for that last rotor with Moss Motors and placed it with Tire Rack, apparently it'll be here in three days. I talked to Powerslot today and apparently they've had the rotors in stock there and shipped out to vendors like three weeks ago but still Moss Motors doesn't have them, wierd.

Performance Peddler was even cheaper than Tire Rack. Tire Rack was charging over $20. for shipping and the distribution center is less than 50 miles from my house.

That's a bold statement. I had my rotors drilled on my '97 and they were much better than factory. They also lasted, within tolerances for the entire (149Kmiles) time I had the truck. No brake fade, and I went nearly twice as long between pad replacements. Don't forget , all manufacturers look for the best combination of quality and cost. Not necessarily the best part at any cost. Brembo or Powerslot rotors are very high quality. Put Brembo's on my wifes Benz and they are way more robust than the stock MB parts. When mine wear, I'll drill if possible, otherwise I'd go for the higher end aftermarket parts.

Is there an advantage of cross drilled over slotted or vice versa?

Oh man! Please go back and re-read this entire thread. Hint: The answer is "yes" - but only if you use Metric Brake Fluid.
