Exclamation Need help real quick... Tire size???

I ordered some wheels a few weeks ago and I ordered the moto meltal 951
20X9 with 30 offset. I ordered 285/55-20 tires and the company sent 305/50-20s. The guy at the shop says that they will fit. My question is WILL THEY? 2006 f150 4x4 stock height.

x2 Really tight

Wheel height has changed by about .25" (technically, but maybe not at all) and the width by a little less than an inch. But now you're 2" wider than stock tires. That +30 offset (which is a useless measurement) gets you 5.5" backspacing, which is OEM, so you're good there.

See if your guy will back up his claim. Mount one tire, put it on the front and lock out the steering. Will he send them back if it rubs?

I agree on being tight. Definitely test them before you buy them if you can.

What backspacing does that work out to be?

It's a 9" wheel, so halfway is 4.5" + the 30mm offset, so add another another inch and you get 5.5", right?

They will probably fit if they have 5.5 inches of backspacing.

I have the same setup 20x9 mm951's with 305/50/20 nitto tg's on my 06 screw 4x2. It has the 2.5" leveling kit, which basically brings the front up to a stock 4x4 height. You will have no problem. I could easily fit a 305/55/20 tire on my setup.

If I were you I would scrub that deal. Get a leveling kit and go for the 305/55/20's or bigger .
But if you stick with what he is offereing the only real difference would be that the 305 is about 3/4 of an inch wider. The 305 is smaller in every other aspect.
Just as a reference heres how mine sits with the 305/55/20 & level kit
