Cooper Zeon LTZ or Toyo Open Country A/T???

I have narrowed my search down between these 2. I will be getting 305/55/20's, here is my problem, I can get the Toyo's from a mail order place out of NC for $1036 shipped to my door, which is considerably less than all my local shops for this tire or, I can get the Cooper at a local Discount Tire store for $1000 tax, mount, balanced, the whole nine yards. They also cover the tire if there is a problem or anything, I guess the mail order I would just be stuck, I dont know. Anyway what do you guys suggest I do??? I like both tires but I'm stuck. Oh yeah, the Toyos come in white letter and the Cooper's do not. Thanks for your help and input.

The Toyo AT's are one of the best all terrian tires available. I've heard very little about the Coopers.

Had Toyo OC A/T's on my old truck and never regretted it. I think they also had a 50,000 mile warranty or something - that's worth considering as well.

I hear alot of good things about the Toyo so I guess I will go that route. The very best price I got from my local dealers on the Toyo's is $1400 installed, the mail order deal is $1036, even after I pay someone $65 to mount them thats still a big difference, I just dont get how the prices can be that much apart, anyway, thanks for the input.

Well, I finaly decided to go with the Toyo's, called up Rim Zone to order and found out that they quoted me the wrong price. The initial price was $1036 shipped to my door, now they tell me that was a mistake they are $1275.
This puts me back a square one on what to do. I can get the Cooper's for $1000, thats out the door installed on my truck, the Toyo's are shipped to my house and then I still have to pay someone $70-$100 to install. I like the look of the Zeon LTZ's and for the price difference I think I might go with them, what do you guys think?? I was very disappointed with this price mistake.

I'd go with a proven tire like the Nitto Terra Grappler, BFG AT KO, Pro COmp Xtreme AT, **** Cepek Radial FCII or Mickey THompson ATZ first.

Check out Discount Tire Direct. I just ordered and received my Nitto Terra Grappler A/T's in 305/55/20 for $1056 shipped to my door. I got them for that cause I got a $100 rebate. Supposed to be $1156. Still not bad at all. The Toyo and the Nitto are essentially the same tire.

I am getting the Cooper LTZ's installed Friday. I called 4 different Discount tire stores in my state and asked for their opinion on the Cooper vs. the Terra Grappler, all said Cooper. They all said the Nitto was a great tire except for mileage (500 rating vs. 520 for the LTZ's) Discount tire has the 30 day trial period so if I dont like them I'll go with something else. I like the look of the Cooper better than anything else, now if they just perform as good as they look, we will see.

Good luck with them. I dont know what they where thinking saying the cooper was better than the terra grappler. The nittos are the one of the best all terrains out along with the bfg, and toyos. I would have gottent he toyos, but thats me. Hope you like them.
