in need of new tires......

I have an 05 kr and just turned 36000miles

everythings great but the tires are showing their age. I dont know much about wheels or tires but i do like the look of some of the bigger, offroad looking kind of tires.
How big of a tire can I go without it rubbing on the inside?
Also, I really like the oem 20's out now (06 and up) anybody got a set of those that they are willing to part?

thanks!

tire prices will vary per brand and size, but a leveling kit will run you around 250-300 bucks. spend the extra cash and get a readylift leveling kit. alot of leveling kits have urethane spacers, but readylifts are made of 1/4 inch steel.

all in all, with my 33" nittos and the leveling kit, it ran me around 1100 bucks.

Most leveling kits are less than $100. Now, you might wind up with $200 or $300 in it if you buy the kit and then pay someone to install it and the cost of a front end alignment. I'd recommend the Autospring leveling kit.

By the way Autospring makes one of the best leveling kits and it is made of steel and has a Lifetime Gurantee

not really. the leveling kit was 340 after tax, installed( here in mobile its easy to get violated by the 9% sales tax!) the tires ran around 170 or 180 apiece, plus nitrogen. thats about what the going price is around here for that stuff.

$1100-1250 plus shipping is pretty much the going price for a set of stock 20" take-offs.

In contrast, that's really not that bad afterall. I got a quote in FLowood MS at Rick's Pro Truck for $550 installed and I laughed at them and hung up the phone. I installed my AS 2" for $89.00 shipped and $59.95 for the alignment
