Bad Vibration

I just replaced all four rotors and pads plus the emergeny brake as well. Now I have this bad vibration when I apply the brakes. I have even taken it all apart again and looked to make sure that there wasn't anything jammed in a placed to make it out of balance. I am driving a 03 4x4 S-Crew.

Please Help Any Suggestions Would Be Much Appreciated

Your new rotors may be warped.

Did you clean the rotors before installing or did you put them on straight out of the box? You need to clean them with brake parts cleaner followed by soap and water.

No I didnt clean the new rotors. Can I go back and clean them now or is it to late?

I did put a level and straight edge on them when I took them off to look to see if anything was on them to make them out out of balance and noticed nothing

You can try cleaning them - at this point the protective coating is going to be sticky and burnt and you may need to sandpaper them and the pads to get the glop off them in addition to using the brake parts cleaner.

To be honest, I would start fresh again, but sanding is a good alternative. Lottttttssssss of brake cleaner too. I kringe thinking of grease or oils on pads and rotors that's why I'd start fresh. Brakes are not something to take lightly and I hate to think of what they could do if not assembled right. Not to sound rude but I wonder what else was missed most bieng less important like anti siezing certain things or torquing etc. All the best luck, hope they clean up right.

The rotors aren't coated with grease or oil - they are coated with a sticky preservative. It takes brake cleaner and scrubbing with soap and water to get it all off. You now have this sticky crap on your pads.

I torqued and anti siezed all the part that needed it. But the cleaning I did not do. But like you say that sticky stuff may be on the pads now and I might have to start all over again I hope not it is not a cheap replacement.

I did all of the things you guys mentioned, cleaning, using brake cleaner and lightly sanding and I still have the vibration so I guess I will start all over again.

You need to sand more than just "lightly".

I would start fresh then and keep this as an expensive lesson learned, hopefully it's nothing else.
