Wheel illiterate

I currently have stock P255/70R17 onmy 06 Supercrew 4x4. I would like to be able to put 18" FX4 rims on it. Is this possible without getting a tuner and/ or a lift kit. Also woul this effect the timing of the shifting (the dealership said it would). I don't like the stock tires or rims so I want to try and get something nice looking without spending too much and without altering the truck. Any suggestions?

Yes, they will fit. Your speedo and shift points will be off slightly, but not enough to really matter because of the small difference in tire height. Your dealer can reprogram the computer to correct this if you want.

Another tire question

Will Mickey Thompson Classic II 17x9 with Pro Comp All Terrain tires. 33x12.50x17 fit on my truck without lifting the front?

I think that setup will work on your truck. I had 285x70x17 tires on 17x9 wheels on my leveled 4x4 and had lot's of room. Of course the 285's were only 11.5 inches wide. Good luck!

It will depend on the backspacing of the wheels. If it's 5.5 inches they will probably fit.
