Brake help

Hows everyone doing, i have a couple fo questions about my 97 f150 stepside....4.6 v6 auto trans

ok i got into my car and my shifter wont shift out of park. I figured i blew the shift interlock fuse and i checked it....that wasnt the problem. I checked the break pressure fuse and it was blown. I go to replace the fuse and it blows right away. This fuse controls my brake lights and i was wondering if anyone has had this problem or if you know how to fix it

thanks....

Sounds like a short.........may be in the tail light housing, in the bulb socket. This is a common place for corrosion. Post this in the electrical forum for more educated responses.

Maybe a brake lite switch???

Check the brake light switch, could be internally shorted, and/or the harness wire could be exposed shorting to ground blowing the fuse...
