brake job quote

My front brakes are squealing towards the end of a stop and I figure I obviously need to get my pads replaced. My truck has 46000 miles on it so I am hoping only the pads will fix it. I don't have the time fix it myself so does anyone have an idea of about how much a job like that costs?

$109.99 where I work...that includes replacing the pads, cleaning the calipers up, and machining the rotors. It comes with a 1 year warranty on parts and labor as well.

I had a constant squealing in my front brakes that sounded like the caliper was hanging but it ended up being that the sliders were corroded and the pads were stuck in place. The dealership said the hardware is not covered under the warranty and it was $35 for the hardware kit or $53 for the pads that came with the hardware so I had new pads put on also and it only cost $105 with tax. They also cleaned up the calipers and cleaned some rust build up off the outside edge of the rotors.

Dealer or brake shop?

The dealer may cost over $190.00 for Motorcrat pads, and $50 more for OEM factory pads. you can download an internet coupon for $99.99 for a pad slap. if you try other shops you will spend (depending on quality of pads) from 129.99 to 159.99.
