Dueler revo question...p rated or LT ?

I want to buy new tires for my 2001 f-150 super cab/off road package 5.4 liter engine, my tires are 265 70r 17, should i spend the extra $$$ for the LT rating or P rating. Will there be any difference in the " feel" or the same....would appreciate any comments or reccomendations, thanks Ron

Buy the LT's they will last a lot longer and have a higher load rating, which is what you need.

I say P-rated. More than enough load rating for 1/2 ton pickups and a softer ride.

Do you want the ride to feel like a car or a truck? I have Revo LT and they are stiff but still ride pretty smooth.

Lt

The P tires are just that passenger car tires. That's the reason they dont hold up on these trucks and wear out so fast. The LT or light truck tires are made for a truck and do much better.

I've had no problem with the P's on my 03 FX4 (265/70/17). Put 60,000 on my first set of P Revos and just put a new set on. I could have gone about another 5,000 on the first set. I tow a 20ft deepV aluminum boat and spend a lot of time off road in the U.P. of Michigan. These tires have worn more even than any other tire I have ever owned!!!
