tire size increase problems

I saw on a website that going up from 255/70/16 to 285/75/16 might cause brake problems. is this true. it seems a lot of yall do this with no problem. also, what changes in gas mileage and spedometer accuracy occur with this change? sorry if i'm asking too many questions about tires and wheels, mac

When my speedo says 60mph, I'm actually doing 65mph.

Your dealer can recalibrate it or you can do it youself with one of the aftermarket computer tuners like the Superchips or Hypertech.

My dealer charges $100. It might be a good time to buy the Edge. That $100 will go a long way.

Edge is another aftermarket computer tuner. It allows you to recalibrate your speedo, change tranny shift points, eliminate top speed restrictions and tune your engine for more power.
