Another Wandell question

Hey Wandell.

I am new to the forum but noticed a trend that you seem to be the expert when it comes to tires and rims. So hopefully you can answer my question.

Can I put on 35X12.5X20 if I put on a 2-2.5" leveling kit on a 06 FX4 150? Thanks.

Will

I will give you the answer now and let him chime in later....you CAN fit 35's on a levelled 4x4 with stock rims...and in my personal opinion it looks great!

You can fit them but they are gonna have to be 35x12.50's and 20x8" wheels. Any wider wheel or tire and you will be rubbin alot

I have read this works with the 17/18" rims but it works for 20's too? That would be awesome if so. Thanks.

did you read trooks reply? that applies. i guess you are talking about the stock 20's? I believe they are 8'' wide, correct me if i am wrong.

A 35'' tire is a 35'' tire.

Yeah Hawg,

I guess I did not catch on that he was stating the 20's were 8" wide. I appreciate all the help.

I don't know. Would be glad to get some suggestions. This is my first truck. Was really never into them until now. Way more useful than a car IMO.

yeah good choice, i was the same way got mine about a year and a half ago, suvs till then. i am of the same opinion, now i got a truck i dont think i could live without it. good choice on gettin a ford . its probly gonna be kinda hard to find a tire in that size, I know the Toyo Open Country MT comes in that size, but other than that all I really saw was 35x13 in the Nittos, BFG, and Mickey Thompsons. I would think those would probly still fit, might need to do some minor trimming. Wandell will come along and shoot you straight.

Right, you can fit 35x12.50's by using a leveling kit and the OEM wheels. If you want a wider aftermarket wheel, stick with 33's.
