Ford changed the brake calipers sometime during the 05 model year which is causing fitment problems with some aftermarket 17 inch wheels. I don't know of any problems with fitment problems with any 18's. I would suggest installing a 2.5 inch leveling kit, 18x9 inch wheels (with 5 or 5 1/2 inches of backspacing) and 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tires.

what style of tire do you want. If you want an A/T you should look at Nitto, toyo, and BFG A/T's.

You also may want to look at the mikey thompson ATZ if your going for an A/T. If your looking for an M/T then your best choice would be to go with a 17 unless you get a lift and get a 35 or larger tire.

I'm running 18 x 9 6089 with Toyo 35" AT on a 6" lift.
Awesome rims and tires on my 04 Crew.

Well after LOTS of checking it looks like the Pro Comp 6001 17x9 will fit my 2005 FX4, with Nitto 295/70/17 Grappler, Does anyone know of any fitment Problems with this set up?, Thanks

Also will install AS 2.5 level kit

They should fit with a leveling kit. Also, I believe Cooper makes Pro Comp tires. As for 33 inch tires for 18's, Pro Comp, Mickey Thompson, Nitto and Toyo make 325/60-18's.
