17" wheel fitment issues?

I've been reading all these threads about some aftermarket 17s not fitting on 2005 trucks built after January. It has me all freaked out because I have 17x9 procomp 1069s on the way with 33/12.5/17s mounted on them. I read on the procomp site that the offset on these rims is +2mm and backspacing is 5". Do you guys think I will have any issues or is the problem just with the Helos? My truck was built 4/05 so I think I have the larger calipers. Wandell?

You're just gonna have to test fit one to find out. Hopefully they will work.

Our 17"s have not much room to spare. The inside balance weights happen to be placed and travel in the ever so slight space that exists between the caliper and wheel....it's very close.

Good Luck

I see you didn't have a problem fitting your 17s. What's your build date?

I put 17's on last week with no problems. I think you should be OK though, I tried on a Pro Comp 1079 wheel and that would have worked, but I ended up getting the Mickey Thompson's 17X9 with 5.5 backspacing.

What's the build date on your truck? My tire and rims came in the other day. I'm going to test fit them tomorrow. Waiting on the rest of my lift and then I'll put em on. Nice truck btw. Leveling kit?

Thanks! Build date was May 2005, and put on a 2" EZ-Lift leveling kit. Post a picture when your lift and new wheels/tires are on, should be real nice!
