What are my rims?

Hello All,
Cant seemto find this information anywhere. I have a 2001 5.4 f150 with ORP. I have the 17x7.5 factory saw blade rims. I am hunting for new rims. What is the configuration of these rims?? I know they are 5 lug (obviously). What are the other specs?? Bolt pattern?? Backspacing??? Load range??

I want to replace it with something that is similar, maybe 15x8 or 16x8, but I do not want to have them stick out pass my fenders...i really like the M/T Classic Locks!

Thanks for your help!
Rich

Not sure about the backspacing, but the bolt pattern is 5X135mm. It should be marked on the back as far as load capability. Also it was made for 14mm lugs. Earlier models had 12mm lugs.

I might be wrong but, I think backspacing depends on the design of the wheel...

Wandell should be by soon, he's the one to ask.

Any 17" wheel made for a truck should be sufficient for load range.

You won't be able to clear 15" wheels, they wont clear the brakes. 16" wheels will fit fine though.

Im not sure on the backspacing, I want to say 4.5" or 4 5/8" but someone else can tell you for sure.

The backspacing will depend on the width of the wheel. Most mass produced aftermarket wheels (4x4) will have a neutral back spacing, ie. hub face in the center of the wheel barrel (4 1/4 backspacing on an 8 in wide wheel) pushes wheel out of fender well. Most stock wheels and large diameter wheels have a positive backspacing, ie. face of wheel out on the outer lip of barrel (5 3/8 backspacing on a 7 1/2 inch wheel, wider on large diameter) Tucks wheel into fender well

Did some research on google to about backspacing, etc...

My next question, does anyone reccommend any wheels 16 or 17" that do will not stick out beyond the fender?

Thanks!
Rich

The stock backspacing on all the 16x7 and 17x7.5 inch wheels is 4 1/2 inches. Most of the 16 and 17 inch aftermarket wheels for the 97-03 F-150's have 4 1/2 or 4 5/8 inches of backspacing. I have 16x10 inch wheels on my Screw with 4 1/2 inches of backspacing and the edge of the wheel and tire is just about dead even with the edge of the fender flares. You won't have a problem with the wheels "sticking out" if you go with an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel.
