Which tires?

I have been pondering getting rid of my stock General tires on my FX4, as one has a hot spot in it that can't be balanced out and tired of the dealership moving the tire around and telling me they have road forced balanced them.
Anyway, what tires would you all recommend for stock rims, my priorties are as follows:
1: Handeling, with less tire flex (hopefully)
2: somewhat quiet at highway speeds (90% of my driving to and from work)
3: Fair to good in dirt and mud (love to go into the woods and trailer the motorcycle or ride the old logging roads.

Possible choices:
Michelin (the website says they can't fit my truck rim
BFG AT (had them before on a prevoius truck and excellant, but again website says they won't fit the stock rims
Goodyear Wranglers (don't have any opinion and never heard any)

Thanks for any responses

Try this site for a whole bunch of info on truck tires. I ran BFG AT's, 285/75/16, on stock rims for the past 5 years. Wore out, just replaced them with **** Cepek FC-II's. Never had a problem with the BFG's and this is the second personal vehicle, and about 4 company vehicle, I ran them on. Depends on what you are looking for. Read lots and you'll find out what fits and what doesn't.

I'd go with a quality all terrian tire like the BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler or Toyo Open Country AT.

I'd vote for the Nitto Terra Grappler's too. Best truck tires I've had so far. They took very little weight to balance and they have not required rebalancing. IMHO they are better than the Goodyear AT/ATS. Smooth ride, even wear and they were cheaper than the Goodyears.

Michelin has P275/65/18's
I ordered a set for my 2004 F150 FX4.
Michelin Pilot LTX
Michelin Cross Terrain
These are the only two types in that size

Might be kinda late but...

Are you planning on running the stock tire size or going bigger? Some brands aren't available in a bigger than stock size. That would eliminate some right off the bat...

I appreciate all the additional replies. Actually the dealer came through and finally road forced balanced the stockers. Seemed that three of the tires failed the test and they replaced all three under warrenty. When they wear, I will either go with the BFG or the Toyo's.

Id say go with the BFG ATs. I have them on my Tahoe and they are quiet and work excellent off road. im sure there is someway to fit them on your truck.
