Has anyone ever matched their trailer rims to your factory Ford rims? I would love to find some cheap rims for my boat trailer that somewhat resemble the factory rims on my truck. I have a 1999 F-150 Sport with 17" tear drop aluminum 4x4 rims (see link below for pic). There are plenty of replacement 15" and 16" Ford rims on the internet but they have the Ford lug pattern (5 x 135mm). I need a similar looking rim (14", 15" or even 16") with a 5 x 114.5mm (or 5 x 4.5") lug pattern. If I can match the rims I am going to match the tires also. I'm sure what I'm looking for is out there in cyber space somewhere but I'm going insane trying to find it.

Most trailer spindles have that standard 5 x 4.5" or 6 or 8 lug patterns depending on trailer axel weight rating.

I would visit my local tire dealer and look through their wheel books. I'm sure you can match those wheels or get darn close.

 

The 5X4.5 or 5X114.3 lug pattern is that of the explorers, rangers and sport tracs. Try looking for some rims on E-bay or rim dealers for explorer or ranger rims and you might find something.

I am getting 22" chrome rims for my F-150, and plan to try and find some 6 star chrome 15" rims for my 7X14 Interstate Trailer. Both the trailer and the truck are bright red as well, so it will all match up great.
