BFG 315 70 17 on stock 2003 FX 4 SCAB?

Has anyone put BFG AT KO's 315 70 17 on their stock 2003 FX4 SCAB on the factory wheels? Any rubbing? Any problems at all? Was there any power loss or increased BAD gas milage? I have the 5.4 With tow pkg. Any pictures of this combo would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, and gals.

Several people at FTW have mounted 315/70-17 (35x12.50) BFG AT KO on stock 17x7.5 wheels on stock 4x4's. They are an extremely tight fit. You will have to crank up the torsion bars and probably trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower valance. You will still probably have some minor rubbing, but nothing that will damage the tires or truck. Since these tires are just shy of 35 inches tall, you will notice a power loss and a loss in gas milage. What gears do you have in your truck? The affects will be worse with 3.55 gears than 3.73's. I've talked to several people with 35's and 5.4's with 3.55 gears. Some people say the performance sux, some say it is ok, but no one is bragging about how great it is. My advice is stick with a 33 inch tire if you are never gonna lift your truck. If a lift is in the near future and you need tires now, I'd say go ahead and get the 35's. Just be prepared to regear if you are unhappy with the performance.

I have on them on my stock 2 wheel drive, no lift.... Here . Power loss is minor with 4.6, but gas seems to be sucking more...

Even if you do fit them without the lift, you are giving up all wheel articulation and probably hurting your offroad performance more than helping it with larger tires. I agree with Wandell, stick to 33s unless you are lifting too.
