Question Balancing 39's

Is it possible to balance 39" tires or is it just a waste of time?

Thanks,
Jerry D.

Cool

Pretty hard to get done. My buddy had hell balancing his aggresive 36's, and it just never got done right. He tried inside weights, outside, stick ons, and nothin worked right. Good luck.

I now know what you all mean by having trouble getting someone to balance big tires. I only have 33's but the shop where I got them has tried twice to no luck. I know most of the other tire shops can not handle it either. It really sucks, I love my big tires except the shaking I get and the power loss. I probably didn't make the best choice going this big and aggressive, as I drive mostly paved roads. I guess Tues, I will go back and trade down to a 265 (31).

KY,
That can't be right, there is too many people running 33-35in tires with them perfectly ballanced. I'd take it somewhere else. I've ridden on big Swamper TSL Radials that were not in the least bouncy.

If you have large tires that need to be balanced call around to tire shops and find one that has the new Hunter RoadForce balancers. These machines are top of the line and simulate the force of the road so the tire is balanced much better. This would be your best option but you also might try to call a shop that does big rig wheels.

Talking Hunter GSP9700

You need to find a shop that has a Hunter GSP9700. I am a service rep for Hunter equipment. I do not sell them but repair and maintain this equipment. Let me tell you a shop with a good knowlegable tech and this equpment can fix nearly any tire vibration. Note I said "knowledgable tech"! Check www.hunter.com to find a shop near you that has one.
Hope this can help.

Some tires cannot me balanced with rim weights . I read a article about National Wheel and Tire using weighted patches they vulcanized to the inside of the tire. They also talked about using a material called Equal that they inserted through the valve stem.I have not used either but I thought you could use the info.
