I have a 1999 f-250 superduty with the off road pkg.and i'm thinking on changing from my 265 75x16's to 285 75x16's.Can i do this without lifting the truck and put the tires on my stock rimes.

Go for it!! Really, you should have no trouble on lift or wheel size for the 285's. I think the 285's may still look kinda small on the Super Duties. You should be able to go as high as 305's with the stock height, but the wheels may need to be wider for those.

I was driving the other day and I saw a super duty parked with stock suspension running a 315x75 all terrain. I was shocked! It might have a little extra lift from the torsion bars, but not that much.

One of my best friends HAD a 99 f-350 super duty 4x4 Non off road package, and he put 315 BFG All-Terrains under that thing with no lift at all. It looked AWESOME. Went went mud riding in that thing all the time and those tires never rubbed. The guy he sold that truck to is still running those tires.

I've heard that you can put 315's, 35's on a super duty stock. You should try, if it doesn't work, all the more motivation for getting a lift.

Cowboy-up, SD's don't have tortion bars, they have leaf springs front and rear. Just for your info.
