Post How big a spare?

How big a tire can you fit under the bed where the spare goes on a stock rim?

I've got a 34/11.50/17 sitting underneath my truck right now. Not sure what that equates to (285, 275) and it fits snug, but fine.

Wink

You may also want to consider whether or not you plan to add a receiver hitch in the future. A big spare and the hitch may not be compatible.

I have got a 285/75/16 under mine, and no signs of being too tight. That equates to about a 33. Evidently you have about one more inch before things get tight.

I have a hitch but it isn't a factory hitch. I'm gonna get 265 75 R16s and just wanted to make sure the spare would fit. Maybe even 285 75 R16s they sure looked nice on Roland's truck!
