Lfetime Rotors

Does anyone sell rotors with a lifetime warranty?
My friend has to put new rotors on his Chevy EVERY year. The outer face looks fine, but the inner face is unbelievably rusted, pitted and rough as stone, with only about a 1/4" band being smooth. I've always dumped on him, telling him it's all due to being a Chevy. I told him he might as well by cheap aftermarket rotors since his GM units cost 2x and still only last a year! He has replaced calipers, but it still eats rotors. I really thought the problem is that his truck seldom gets driven and sits outside on a damp, dirt driveway.
Well.... Now I noticed MY rotors are in the same condition! ('97 ld F-250 4x4 w/70k.) My truck is seldom driven. Towing and hauling only. No daily driver. My truck, however, is always parked in a heated garage. I'd like to find some stainless steel rotors, or some cheaper ones with a lifetime warranty. Any help is appreciated.

I thought the NAPA site said 90 day warranty. I believe that's what they told me at our local NAPA store also. I just ordered a set of Brembo rotors. It was $61.95 each, no tax, free shipping, 1 year warranty. I thought that was a great price. Mine are for a F-250. (seven lug). If these don't last long, I'll check again with NAPA. Thanks. pitted rotors

I have a similar situation with my 2001 F-150 XL 2WD. The rotors are pitted and corroded. The dealer said it would be covered if the truck was still under warranty (3 yr-36,000 mi.). Unfortunately I have 49,000 miles on the truck. Has anyone had similar problems and has the dealer replaced the rotors under warranty? I don't think this should happen to a truck that isn't even 3 years old.

Hey David, Where did you get the brembo rotors from? You got a good deal. If you could please post a link.
Thanks

http://www.car-engine-parts.com/ They seem fine. They aren't the cross drilled or anything special. I thought the price was good and free shipping. It did take a while to get them though. Dave C.

make sure you check the caliper slide pins arnt frozen in the mounting bracket and make sure the pads can move freely in the caliper mounting bracket these are the 2 most overlooked areas in the brake system. they are ussually what causes the one side being grooved and rusted.

Sounds to me like a caliper problem. If one side of the rotor is rusted then the pad on that side isn't doing much. Caliper slides need lube or you need a rebuilt/new caliper.
